MANILA – In celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year, the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) will launch a colorful special “2025 Year of the Wood Snake” postage stamp at Robinsons Manila on January 23.

Along with the new stamp launch, the Philippine Philatelic Federation Inc. will open a stamp exhibition, showcasing the interesting Chinese Zodiac stamps in collaboration with the Robinsons Malls.

In Chinese mythology, the Snake represents wisdom, knowledge, intelligence, intuition, and creativity. Snakes are also associated with good luck, prosperity, fertility, and longevity. They are revered for their ability to shed their skin and renew themselves, symbolizing transformation and rebirth.

“We wish everyone peace, prosperity, and luck for the coming New Year. Like the serpent’s wisdom and resilience, good governance is about adaptability, foresight, and the ability to build trust with the people we serve.” Postmaster General Luis D. Carlos said.

Carlos added, “The Year of the Wood Snake will be propitious as more opportunities will come for PHLPost to establish better and invigorated courier services. We promise the public that mail and parcel delivery will be more efficient with the establishment of Barangay Postal Stations nationwide; the implementation of the new seven-digit alphanumeric Zip Code PH, which will standardize the addressing system in the country; and the further opening of next-day delivery hubs that will cater to more SMEs to help grow their businesses.”

The stamp exhibition is part of Robinsons Mall’s Prosperity Trail to celebrate the coming Chinese New Year. The exhibition will move to Robinsons Magnolia on January 24-26, then to Robinsons Galleria on January 28-30, and will return to Robinsons Manila on January 31-February 2.
