Chairman/Postmaster and CEO Mike Planas extends his deepest gratitude to the Asian-Pacific Postal Union (APPU) for congratulating him on his appointment of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. as the new Chairman of the Philippine Postal Corporation last May 2024.
APPU announced the member executive changes in their monthly newsletter published early this June 2024. Alongside Chairman/Postmaster General Mike Planas, APPU congratulated Ms. Vandita Kaul, the new Secretary to Government of India in Department of Posts and Chairperson of the Postal Services board on June 1, 2024.
“The APPU Bureau extends their warmest congratulations to Ms. Kaul and Mr. Planas on assumption of their new role and look forward to their leadership in advancing the postal community…” writes APPU.
In that same newsletter issue, APPU cited the National Winners for the 53rd Universal Post Office Union International Letter Writing Tilt hosted by the Philippine Postal Corporation. Ms. Karylle Mitch V. Salazar of Saint Mary’s Academy of San Nicolas Inc, Cebu City won the first prize.
