The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) has announced its upgraded Express Mail Service (EMS) Next Day Delivery signaling a start to bolster its readiness for e-commerce during the Media Launch attended by PHLPost officials held at PHLPost new corporate office located at the Manila Central Post Office compound in Liwasang Bonifacio Manila.
“The EMS Next Day Delivery underscores our resolve to enhance our service portfolio and maintain the trust of communities and businesses relying on postal services especially on e-commerce and logistics”, Postmaster General Luis Carlos said.
According to statista.com, “over the past five years, the Philippine’s e-commerce market has grown by about 400 percent, making it the second-fastest-growing e-commerce market worldwide”.
This service promotes efficiency and convenience for both senders and recipients, ensuring timely handling of urgent mail and packages.
PHLPost is launching the EMS Next Day Delivery to strengthen its competitive position in the logistics industry, streamline operations, and cater to the increasing demand for fast and reliable delivery services. This service also aims to improve operational efficiency and provide real-time delivery information.
This enhancement aligns with PHLPost’s dedication to modernization and service excellence, targeting both domestic and international shipments.
EMS Next Day Delivery is designed to optimize service in Metro Manila, a region that accounts for a substantial portion of PHLPost’s delivery volume. This move aims to ensure cost efficiency, reduce manual handling, and provide real-time tracking capabilities.
