The Philippine Postal Corporation (The Post Office) led by the Chairman and Postmaster General/CEO Mike Planas has joined the LAB FOR ALL Service Caravan, a project of First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, the purpose of which is to bring various government and healthcare services closer to the community and to serve thousands of marginalized beneficiaries in Mandaluyong, Bacolod and Tacloban City.

With a wide network of more than 1,215 post offices around the country, comes with an untapped potential and challenge to bring the post office up to pace with modern delivery practices while servicing the most remote or missionary areas.

In line with this, the Post Office booths set-up booths in various venues such as Mandaluyong City (Mega Manila Postal Area), Bacolod City (Western Visayas Postal Area) and Tacloban City (Central & Eastern Visayas Postal Area) to facilitate inquiries on the various postal products and services it offers to the public.

Initially, the LAB FOR ALL Service Caravan aimed to provide primary healthcare assistance to the marginalized, but as more of the participation of government agencies and private sector companies volunteering to be part of the caravan grew, so as the mission of the LAB FOR ALL which extended further to provide other social services.

As the Post Office honors Filipino Centenarians, Mike Planas said, “Living to 100 years old is one of life’s greatest achievements and a milestone worth celebrating.

“Post Office Chairman and Postmaster General/CEO Planas also thanked the First Lady for her inspiring leadership and dedication to helping those in need, especially senior citizens, highlighting the significant effort and time invested in making healthcare and public service accessible to all through her LAB for ALL program.

Such programs coincide with Planas’ vision to diversify and innovate its postal services to adapt to the changing landscape and remain relevant in an increasingly evolving digital economy.

“The Post Office proactively participates in the LAB for ALL Caravan to assist the First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. helping communities nationwide and to bring public service closer to every Filipino,” Planas remarked.
