PRESS RELEASE: PHLPost receives Scroll of Honor from Ph Red Cross

The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) was awarded with a Scroll of Honor by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) during its recent Blood Donors Recognition Ceremony in recognition for its sustained collaboration in the Red Cross blood services program.

The Scroll of Honor is one of the national awards given to honor the spirit of volunteerism among PRC’s blood donors and institutional partners.

The conduct of annual bloodletting activities is a customary practice of PHLPost especially during activities celebrating its founding anniversary every year.

“This is one of our corporate social responsibility initiatives involving our postal employees nationwide who participated as a blood donor annually, realizing the importance of helping save lives”, Postmaster General Joel Otarra said.

Blood donations help millions of patients in need.

The Red Cross collects blood from voluntary, non-remunerated blood donors with their donations accounting to almost 50% share of the nation’s blood supply.
