2022 Asian–Pacific Postal Union – 60 Years

The Philippine Postal Corporation (Post Office) issues commemorative stamps for the 60th founding anniversary of the Asian-Pacific Postal Union (APPU) on April 28, 2022.

The Asian-Oceanic Postal Union was founded on April 1, 1962, following the ratification of the Asian-Oceanic Postal Convention drawn up in Manila, Philippines, from January 10 to 23, 1961. Its present iteration – the Asian-Pacific Postal Union – was formalized on March 28, 1981, in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
