2020 Save Our Shores – Save Our Oceans Series 1 First Day Cover Envelope

The Philippine Postal Corporation issues “2020 Save Our Shores – Save Our Oceans – Series I” stamps and official first day covers.

Featured on the first series, for the one, five, twelve, and thirty-five peso stamps are the Hebrew cone (Conus ebraeus), the black-striped or liver triton (Septa hepatica), the banded trochus snail or samong/simong, (Rochia nilotica), and the pontifical mitre or sungkod-sungkod (Mitra stictica) respectively. The species of marine mollusks included in the “Save Our Shores, Save Our Ocean” series are present in Philippine waters. Since most of these mollusks have commercial use, some have been over-harvested and have become protected or endangered species.
