2019 National Heritage Month – Women as Heritage Keepers – First Day Cover Envelope

18.00

The Philippine Postal Corporation (Post Office) issues special stamps and official first day covers to commemorate National Heritage Month: “Women as Heritage Keepers” featuring T’boli beadworkers, Liliw coconut sap collectors, Laguna rafters, Aurora hat weavers, Ifugao farmers, Tawi-Tawi seaweed farmers, Badjao hat weavers, and Ilocos burnay potters.

The Philippine Postal Corporation, in collaboration with the Filipino Heritage Festival Inc., present these eight stamps commemorating “Women as Heritage Keepers”, in line with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts’ theme for this year’s National Heritage Month, “Mga Pinuno para sa Pamana” (Leaders for Heritage). Featuring photographs by Funtastic Philippines, Inc., the 2019 Heritage Month “Women as Heritage Keepers” stamp issuance is an ode to the Filipino women who continuously give life to the traditions, customs, and other local manifestations of tangible and/or intangible heritage of the Philippines. The stamps in this issuance highlight the irreplaceable contributions of women as creators and propagators of traditions old and new.
