2019 ASEAN National Costumes – First Day Cover Envelope

In connection with the selected theme for the 2019 ASEAN Post Stamp Release, the Philippine Postal Corporation issued stamps featuring the Philippines’ National Costume.

One’s National Costume is the source of identity, nationalism, and power. It defines who we are as Filipinos, it is a representation of our traditions, our history.  The inspiration for this project is the luxurious lines of fashion illustration and the warm romantic ambiance of our Kundiman songs. This stamp features a man and a woman, wearing the national costume of the Philippines, the barong tagalog and the baro’t saya, respectively. The ASEAN Post logo appears at the lower left corner of this design.
