MANILA, Philippines — Rain or shine, the postal service remains committed to connecting Filipinos and delivering public service where it matters most.

Despite heavy rains, rising floodwaters, and difficult weather conditions in several parts of the country, the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) continues to provide essential postal and communication services to the public.

Postal frontliners remain on duty, delivering mails, parcels, government communications, Postal ID and other important documents while observing necessary safety measures. Equipped with raincoats, boots, umbrellas, and a strong commitment to public service, they continue to help keep communities connected despite the challenging conditions.

“Rain may fall and floodwaters may rise, but the need to communicate does not stop. PHLPost remains committed to delivering essential postal services while ensuring the safety of our personnel and the public,” PHLPost said.

The southwest monsoon continues to bring cloudy skies and rains over Luzon and parts of the Visayas while warmer weather prevails over Mindanao, weather bureau PAGASA said Wednesday, September 9.
PAGASA said Tarlac, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro will experience 50-100mm of rain today.
Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro will experience occasional rains due to habagat while Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the trough of Tropical Depression Krovanh.

However, temporary service adjustments may be implemented in areas affected by flooding, impassable roads, transportation disruptions, or other hazardous conditions. PHLPost continues to monitor local conditions and coordinate with field offices to maintain service continuity whenever it is safe to do so.

PHLPost assured the public that the delivery of important mail and parcels remains a priority while ensuring the safety of postal workers and customers.
